  1. Hey,

I'm sorry you're having financial troubles. That's really rough. My suggestion for you when you do buy a car is, buy from a person rather than a dealership, and bring cash, because you can get it lots cheaper that way. That's what I did with my Jeep. And with FAFSA, did you know that there is a thing called the Board of Governor's waiver? You can go on the Oxnard College website and download the form for it - if you make below a certain amount of money, you don't have to pay for school at all. You still have to pay for books, though. But, if you get the waiver and then get FAFSA money, you might be able to actually make money off of going to school, because you might get more than you actually need for just books. If your FAFSA goes through in time, it should tell you whether you qualify for the BOG waiver, I think...but I don't know when you turned that in or anything, or whether filling out that separate BOG form would come through quicker or anything. Anyway, just some suggestions.

You asked me about why I moved away from home - I graduated high school four years ago and went away to college and lived in a dorm and all of that, but I dropped out second semester and moved with friends to Ohio and went to school there, and then I moved back to my parents' house in MI for three months before moving by myself to Arizona. My sister and I decided that we couldn't handle MI weather anymore, and we were going to move together, but I was going out first to establish stuff while my sister finished high school (she was homeschooled - I left at the end of August and she was graduating early, in January.) When I was out there, though, I met my husband. Alyssa still came out to live with me for a few months, but I ended up getting married and Jordan is in the Navy and that is how I ended up in California. He is stationed here, hopefully only for another year but possibly longer...anyway that's my story of leaving home. I feel like I abandoned my sister and I feel so bad about that. I wish she could come live here with us...

So yeah there you go. Probably more info than you were interested in lol sorry.
